About the role

This role goes beyond traditional project management.
As the technical authority and Engineer of Record, you will ensure that all assessments align with ASTM standards while delivering clear, decision-focused insights for lenders, investors, and property owners.

Lead Vertex's PCA service line, including methodology, standards, and delivery model
Build, train, and mentor a team of technologists, inspectors, and field staff, leveraging Vertex's broader technical team as needed
Develop standardized inspection protocols, checklists, and guidance tools
Implement a scalable model where field staff collect data and senior technical review ensures quality and consistency

Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Building Science Engineering
10+ years of experience in building sciences, with significant PCA and capital planning experience
Strong understanding of building systems and lifecycle performance
Proven experience training, mentoring, and overseeing field-based assessment teams
Strong technical writing skills and ability to produce clear, defensible, client-ready reports
Eng. designation in good standing
Multi-provincial licensing is an asset
Deep familiarity with ASTM E2018 and related assessment frameworks
