About the role

  • The Quality Compliance Support Specialist assists in maintaining regulatory and quality compliance activities within the automotive sector.
  • This role supports adherence to industry standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and applicable government regulations by maintaining accurate records, tracking compliance activities, coordinating documentation, and providing administrative support to the compliance and quality assurance team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update compliance records, quality documentation, and regulatory filings in the company's document management system.
  • Support preparation and submission of compliance reports to internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the control of documents including SOPs, work instructions, and compliance forms per IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Maintain supplier compliance records including PPAP documentation, material certifications, and corrective action logs.
  • Audit & Corrective Action Support
  • Support coordination of internal and external audits (customer, third-party, IATF, IATF 16949).

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of experience in an administrative, data entry, or compliance support role within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • Working knowledge of automotive quality standards including IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • PPE required when on the production floor.
  • occasional flexibility required during audit windows or regulatory deadlines.
  • extended periods of computer-based work required.

Nice to have

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with AIAG core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
  • Accuracy & Attention to Detail - Consistently produces error-free work
  • verifies data before submission.

Skills

  • APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC.
  • Experience supporting customer-specific requirements (Ford Q1, GM BIQS, Stellantis, etc.).
  • Knowledge of IMDS (International Material Data System) and substance of concern (SOC) compliance.
  • Prior exposure to IATF 16949 internal audits or supplier development activities.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or equivalent certification is an asset.
  • Accuracy & Attention to Detail - Consistently produces error-free work; verifies data before submission.
  • Communication - Clearly conveys compliance information across departments and with external parties.
  • Integrity - Handles confidential regulatory data with discretion and professionalism.
  • Adaptability - Comfortable working within evolving regulatory requirements and system changes.
  • Primarily office-based with occasional access to production floor areas; PPE required when on the production floor.
