About the role

- Your primary responsibility is to assist in maintaining continuous up-time of the Data Center.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and support critical facility systems including UPS systems, generators, switchgear, PDUs, ATS/STS equipment, HVAC systems, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, pumps, cooling towers, fire detection, fire suppression, and building automation systems
- Respond to alarms on critical systems throughout the facility and trouble shoot and take necessary actions to maintain critical Data Center systems
Requirements
- Knowledge of UPS systems, generators, switchgear, chillers, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, fire alarm systems, and fire suppression systems
- Experience working with vendors, reviewing service reports, escorting contractors, and supporting maintenance or repair activities
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders while working at heights of 6 to 12 feet and stand on your feet for the majority of your shift
Nice to have
- 4+ years of experience in one of the following: electrical and/or mechanical, large generator systems, UPS systems operation, power distribution, mechanical plant operations
- 2+ years of hands-on data center experience in critical facilities operations, maintenance, or a closely related mission-critical environment
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Teams
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- technical school, trade certification, military technical training, or related coursework preferred

Benefits
- shift from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST and you must be open to cover for other technicians who are on PTO when needed
