About the role
- Career Area: Job Description: Your Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.
- A manufacturing business unit and mentor will be assigned to the selected candidate upon arrival.
- The learning plan will include an 18-month assignment with rotations through four different Manufacturing Business Units.
Requirements
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or other relevant degree.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Must be able and willing to relocate to San Diego, CA.
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing engineering fundamentals.
Nice to have
- A working knowledge of basic manufacturing engineering practices, tooling concepts, problem solving skills, analytics, and computer skills for component manufacturing is desired.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment.
- High energy level and sense of urgency.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good business / technical judgment.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities for a variety of tasks.
- Relocation is available for this position.

Compensation
- Base salary for this role ranges from $92,500, to $118,000.
- Actual salary will be based on experience.
