  • The Department of Computing and Software Engineering in the U.A. Whitaker College of Engineering is seeking to fill multiple professor positions.
  • Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor rank, will be considered.

Responsibilities

  • This university wide institute provides support to faculty wanting to form collaborations across campus around topics related to AI, data science, and cybersecurity.
  • Teaches undergraduate and graduate courses that support departmental and college needs, including advanced courses within the faculty's area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and ability to use technology in various teaching modalities (e.g. Face-to-face, synchronous online or asynchronous online).
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate software engineering and computer science courses, and mentor students.
  • Ability to publish in regional, national, and international venues appropriate to the discipline.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and approach challenges with creativity.
  • Demonstrated track record of reliability, meeting goals, and holding oneself accountable.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience working effectively across teams.
