About the role

  • We are seeking a Christ-centered Music Teacher (part time) who is called to be part of our Guardian Academy team and is skilled in helping students grow in academic excellence built upon a biblical worldview. If this sounds like your ministry calling, keep reading to see if we're a match!
  • Your primary responsibility will be to develop our students' musical skills and appreciation.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, instruct, support, and assess students' strengths and weaknesses and adapt to help students be successful.
  • Follow, develop, and modify the curriculum to most effectively help students learn.
  • Maintain order in the classroom.
  • Maintain records of progress and discuss with parents.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to help enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

  • Any Staff Meetings required by Principal or any other leader
  • Minimum Required Qualifications

  • This will include preparing lesson plans, teaching music theory, ideally teaching different musical instruments, and guiding students for musical performances.
  • Our ideal candidate has a strong musical background, a passion for teaching, and outstanding communication skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Music Education
