Responsibilities

  • Manages the full life cycle of the recruiting process including but not limited to sourcing, screening, qualifying, and interviewing qualified candidates.
  • Work closely with hiring managers and the HR Manager to develop specific search criteria, and coordinate the recruiting process ensuring timely action, cost effective strategies, and professional and positive contacts for all candidates.
  • Burns Engineering provides professional engineering design and project management services for transportation, facilities, and infrastructure projects.
  • As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will assist in the design and implementation of creative and effective recruiting strategies to meet current and future business needs.
  • You will lead student programs/university relations and contribute to social media recruiting content to promote Burns Engineering as an employer of choice.
  • Support and implement diversity initiatives across the company; actively seek sources of diverse candidates and foster working relationships with key groups and individuals to improve corporate diversity.
  • Lead and/or participate in student internship/co-op programs, university relations, and on-campus recruitment.
  • Maintain the Burns pipeline of passive and active candidates.

Nice to have

  • 8-10 years of proven success in the professional service recruitment and retention strategies, preferably within the engineering and construction industry.
  • PHR strongly preferred
  • AIRS certification strongly preferred
  • LinkedIn Professional Recruiter certification strongly preferred
