- While reporting to the Plant Quality Manager, as a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring quality expectations of every customer, both internal and external are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities
- Supports and follows the SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines of the food safety system.
- Understands, completes, maintains environmental and SDS documentation for which the individual is trained (i.e. inspections, labeling, record keeping, maintenance of equipment, etc) as directed by management.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend and follow verbal and written instruction.
- Ability to effectively instruct and train other employees
- Ability to identify and assess defects and/or defective products
- This includes correcting unsafe acts/conditions, participating in monthly safety meetings, performing monthly safety inspections and investigating accidents as required.
- Performs record keeping, filing and related duties as required.
- Conducts troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on inspection equipment as required.
- Responsible for replenishing supplies and materials required for assigned areas.
