About the role
- This role blends instructional excellence, leadership, administration, and school-site relationship management.
- The Head Coach is the primary representative of UFIT on campus and is accountable for program quality, staff performance, student engagement, and alignment with district and school expectations.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily structured sports, PE, and recess programming aligned with UFIT curriculum and school goals.
- Support onboarding, training reinforcement, and performance improvement.
- Manage daily schedules, transitions, equipment setup/breakdown, and student flow.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe program environments.
Requirements
- Ability to model SEL-aligned language and behavior
- Ability to lift, carry, and set up athletic equipment
- Sunday leadership meeting (1 hour, required)
Nice to have
- Experience working in K-12 school environments
- Knowledge of district-based PE or recess programming
- Bilingual (Spanish preferred but not required)
- Interest in leadership growth within UFIT
