About the role

  • This role blends instructional excellence, leadership, administration, and school-site relationship management.
  • The Head Coach is the primary representative of UFIT on campus and is accountable for program quality, staff performance, student engagement, and alignment with district and school expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily structured sports, PE, and recess programming aligned with UFIT curriculum and school goals.
  • Support onboarding, training reinforcement, and performance improvement.
  • Manage daily schedules, transitions, equipment setup/breakdown, and student flow.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe program environments.

Requirements

  • Ability to model SEL-aligned language and behavior
  • Ability to lift, carry, and set up athletic equipment
  • Sunday leadership meeting (1 hour, required)

Nice to have

  • Experience working in K-12 school environments
  • Knowledge of district-based PE or recess programming
  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred but not required)
  • Interest in leadership growth within UFIT
