About the role
- Alarm.com is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join the finance and tax team.
- Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Tax, this position will work in all aspects of our corporate tax function and with all areas in finance, directly with the businesses and our outside consultant.
- This position is critical to the Finance Department as it operates to ensure global compliance with tax laws.
Responsibilities
- Support preparation and review of workpapers for federal and state income tax returns and ensure alignment with financial reporting.

Nice to have
- Accounting degree, CPA a plus.
- Experience with Alteryx strongly preferred, particularly for optimizing complex tax calculations and transforming large volumes of source data into usable tax workpapers and summaries.
- Experience working with corporate accounting systems (Great Plains experience a plus).

Compensation
- $78,950 - $109,250 USD
- The base salary range of this opportunity is listed below and is determined within a range based on factors including qualifications, location and experience.
- The base salary offered is part of a total compensation package.
- Coordinate with internal departments to meet data request deadlines of external advisors for all ASC 740, Accounting for Income Tax, tax provision and compliance areas related to annual federal, international, and state and local [income] tax filing obligations.
- Coordinate with external advisors to complete the annual Federal R&D tax credit study, including data collection, reconciliation and analysis, facilitating communications with internal subject matter experts, as well as preparing all applicable state tax credit calculations and application filings.
