About the role

  • Shift: Full-Time - Days or Night Shifts Available (Rotating Weekends) This is a 29- bed unit that consists of both Med-Surg and Stepdown patients.
  • Our patient population includes diagnosis of strokes, seizures, brain mass, encephalopathy, neck and spinal surgery, and lumbar drains.
  • This unit specializes in 24-7 epilepsy monitoring, where patients are being closely monitored and observed for any seizure activity.

Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Knowledge of basic professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
  • Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills characterized by candor, openness, integrity, and ability to be diplomatic.
  • 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Specialty certification(s) preferred.
