About the role

  • The Associate Category Manager will support the Category Manager in driving growth and profitability of a specific category or group of categories, whilst ensuring an optimal mix of Financial, Operational and Customer outcomes.
  • Contribute toward and aid the Category Manager in achieving KPIS:

Responsibilities

  • Manage the set up of all new lines and new suppliers, ensuring all information is captured accurately and in line with key process milestones
  • Work with the planogram team on developing customer facing planograms, where applicable
  • Support the Category Manager in the day to day operational aspects of their category assignment
  • Manage administration associated with Agreement Sheets, ensuring all information is captured accurately and timely
  • Demonstrate Company values and lead by personal example

Nice to have

  • 1-2 Years of Category leadership experience desired, in a fast paced organization - ideally a multi site distribution or retail business
  • Strong administrative and time management abilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in business or related discipline preferred
  • Work is performed in a typical office environment and retail store environment.
  • In retail store there may exposure to noise, dust, fumes, or temperature shifts.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Travel to the various operations, estimated to be approximately 40-50% of time, required.
