About the role
- URGENT NEED: Oakland Area Location: This position serves clients throughout Alameda County.
- The role is not limited to San Leandro or Oakland only.
- As an Independent Living Instructor, you'll work one-on-one with clients in their homes and communities-helping them master essential life skills like personal care, health maintenance, social engagement, money management, and more.
Responsibilities
- Build strong, respectful relationships with clients
- Support clients with appointments, social events, errands, and community access - including providing transportation when needed
- Keep clear, timely records and collaborate with a supportive team

Requirements
- Ability to pass a background check
Nice to have
- Fluency in English or Spanish (bilingual preferred)
- A heart for service and a passion for helping others grow
- At least 6 months of experience in human services or supporting people with disabilities
- Strong communication and organization skills
- High school diploma or GED
