About the role

J Street is seeking an undergraduate student to join an amazing internship experience.
The Technology & Database Intern will assist the Director of Information System & Technology with maintaining our various Salesforce CRM platform & IT Operations.
Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Salesforce & Data/IT Support
Support data quality and documentation efforts by helping track how fields are used and flagging inconsistencies or gaps.
Support early-stage AI and automation initiatives, including helping test simple AI tools or agents (e.g., first-draft content generation or internal knowledge lookup) under the guidance of IT staff.
Assist with cybersecurity and phishing-prevention efforts, such as helping maintain or evaluate phishing simulation tools, analyzing basic results, and supporting improvements to staff security awareness programs.
Help develop simple training materials or reference guides related to phishing prevention, password safety, and secure technology use.

What experience do you have using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or others) for school, work, or personal projects?
If you have worked in Claude, what is your favorite feature?
Do you have any experience with coding or technical tools (e.g., SQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML, Python, Salesforce formulas/flows, or similar)?
If yes, please list the tools or languages you've used and briefly describe your level of experience with each (beginner, intermediate, advanced), including how you've used them.
This internship is an excellent opportunity to be involved with J Street's work in Washington, DC and around the country, work closely with J Street staff and gain valuable work experience with the leading CRM in the world.
Technical proficiency using MacOs and excel

Help research or summarize AI tools and use cases relevant to nonprofit operations and communications.
Desired Skills and Experience

Support ongoing efforts to strengthen organizational security practices through documentation and staff education.
