About the role

This seasonal position is responsible for ensuring exemplary customer service to the boaters and guests of Washington Sailing Marina.
The Marina Rental Staff oversees day to day operations such as launching boats, basic site maintenance and handling the cash register.
This position requires vigilant attentiveness to our patrons, love for the outdoors, and an eagerness to be by the water!

Maintain marina maintenance such as cleaning, weeding, and removing trash
Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager.

Ability to stand for the entire work day.
The marina is open daily and evening and weekend hours are required for all applicants.
Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
Must be able to swim and be comfortable in the water.

Assist in rental dock- launching non-motorized boats, stacking kayaks, and securing equipment
Help guests with appropriate PFDs and make sure they fit properly
Provide brief instruction on use of rental equipment
Participate in evening tours as needed
Operate store register, handle cash transactions, and book reservations.
Screen incoming calls or correspondence and respond independently when possible
Provide excellent customer service to guests, while directing customer issues to supervisor or unit manager
High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.

Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
