About the role
- The Payments team specializes in bank payments, ACH risk, and money movement - products at the core of Plaid's growth that represent a significant and under-penetrated market opportunity.
- You bring deep payments expertise and a commercial skillset to customer conversations at all levels, translating business problems into Plaid solutions and contributing directly to how we go to market.
Responsibilities
- Drive ACV attainment for Payments solutions across your assigned segments, with clear accountability for pipeline generation and deal execution
- Partner with AEs and AMs on discovery through close
- Maintain real-time visibility into win/loss trends, competitive dynamics, and product-market fit across your segment
- Support sales enablement by developing materials, coaching AEs on solution positioning, and sharing competitive intelligence
Requirements
- 7+ years of B2B sales or commercial experience with a track record of quota attainment
- Deep expertise in payments, with a strong preference for bank payments (ACH, RTP) and payment risk
- Experience carrying a direct quota or commercial target with demonstrated results
- ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Nice-to-have: Experience in industries with billing & recurring payments use cases (lending, insurance, etc.)
- Strong discovery and solution-selling skills; ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder deals
- Ability to build relationships with VP-level buyers and above
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills across Sales, Product, and Marketing
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving, high-growth environment
