  • Our Application Engineers expected to have knowledge of SW programming and HW fundamentals as well as the curiosity and persistence to take on interesting and challenging issues on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on bring-up and debug of customer boards.
  • Support customer lab/field trial, develop understanding of customer application environment and provide insightful advice on customer products.
  • Drive and assist the sales team to win key designs with Marvell Ethernet PHYs.
  • Support engineering team in the collective effort of device and system level testing.
  • Develop technical collateral including application notes, user guide/manual, release notes, white papers, and other technical documents.
  • Create relationships with key decision makers and serve as external technical spokesperson.
  • Understand customer's target market, analyze, and prioritize customer design requirements, and provide feedback to the engineering team.
  • Our interviews are designed to evaluate your individual experience, thought process, and communication skills in real time.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: high-speed PCB layout, signal integrity, board assembly, and manufacturing
  • Knowledge of any of the following: C/C++, API, Python/TCL scripting and automation
  • Experience in using lab equipment including high speed oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic/protocol analyzers, and traffic generators.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate efficiently (written and verbal) in a multicultural environment.
  • Must be professional, detailed, customer-oriented, self-driven and able to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • As such, applicants must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under applicable law.
  • Marvell may be required to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce and/or the U.S. Department of State.

Nice to have

  • Experience as System or Applications Engineer with High-Speed SerDes/Ethernet PHY products preferred
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following: complex mixed signal IC, SerDes, high-speed interface protocols and standards are preferred.
