About the role

  • As a Clinical Pharmacist on the Operations team, you will be highly integrated at the front-line of medication production, verification, and distribution, with oversight of technician workflow in the central inpatient pharmacy and sterile compounding suites.
  • You will have the opportunity to cross-train in satellite pharmacy areas, and cross-cover clinical pharmacy shifts as needed.
  • Reviews and processes medication orders, evaluating for appropriateness and compliance with hospital and accreditation standards, and state/federal regulations

Responsibilities

  • Triages medication related concerns with decentralized clinical pharmacists to optimize patient care and minimize delays in medication delivery
  • Experience in direct supervision of technical support staff for clinical and/or service and operational programs is desirable.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in standard computational office-suite applications, including word-processing and relational database manipulation is required.
  • Prior hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
  • Requires a Doctorate of Pharmacy or Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy with an advanced degree, and a PGY1 pharmacy residency or at least three years of equivalent work experience preferred
  • Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification is preferred

Skills

  • Practice experience working with as well as revising and/or implementing information systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills.
  • Professional in conduct and demeanor.
  • Proficient with standard software used in healthcare office setting (i.e. MS Word, Excel, web browser, etc)
