About the role

  • Range is seeking a Business Operations Manager to help execute the company's most important cross-functional initiatives as we scale.
  • It's a role for someone early in their career who is highly organized, energized by ambiguity, and eager to learn the whole business quickly.
  • This role is based at Range's Headquarters in McLean, VA, with an in-office schedule Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Drive key workstreams within the company's highest-priority cross-functional initiatives, from kickoff through delivery and hand-off.
  • Build and maintain project plans with milestones, owners, dependencies, and timelines
  • Help build the templates, trackers, and playbooks that make Business Operations a repeatable, high-leverage engine as Range scales.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Compliance, Advisory, and member-facing teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Build and maintain project plans with milestones, owners, dependencies, and timelines; and keep them current as initiatives evolve.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience, ideally in management consulting, business operations, or a similar analytical, execution-focused role.
  • A high degree of ownership and follow-through

Nice to have

  • Undergraduate degree from a top-tier university, MBA preferred

  • Business Operations owns a rotating portfolio of high-priority projects end-to-end, including scoping the problem, driving execution across teams, and handing the result off to a permanent functional owner once it's running.
  • Coordinate across multiple teams to keep work moving, surfacing risks and blockers early and following through until they're resolved.
  • Gather and analyze data to help frame problems, evaluate options, and measure whether initiatives are delivering the intended outcomes.
  • Prepare clear status updates, meeting materials, and documentation to keep stakeholders aligned.
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Analytical, with comfort using data to structure problems and track outcomes.
  • Able to bring structure to ambiguous situations and stay organized when the path isn't fully defined.
