About the role
- The ideal candidate is skilled in accrual accounting, especially as it relates to the timing of marketing spend, and brings strong interpersonal skills, sound business judgment, and a proactive, creative approach to problem-solving.
- You will be responsible for delivering clear and concise financial analyses, monitoring operational and financial performance, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities
- Perform accurate monthly and quarterly variance and trend analyses; present findings to Marketing and other operational leaders.
- Support and troubleshoot financial system applications; manage scheduled and ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Partner effectively with cross-functional teams using strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Support special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed.
- Build, enhance, and maintain detailed financial models in Excel.
- Develop and manage key financial, operational, and performance metrics.
- Support financial system configuration, documentation, testing, implementation, and evolving system requirements for strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Experience in the entertainment industry.
- Experience with Workday and/or Adaptive planning
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- 3+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- Knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement even in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Project).
- Comfortable working with financial systems and data sets
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial modeling
- Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
- Independent and team oriented, a "can do" attitude with high attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, including annual budget and monthly forecast
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Compensation
- Annual discretionary bonus and merit increase
- $85,000 - $95,000
- Lead quarterly forecasts, annual budgeting, and long-range planning for assigned business units.
