About the role

Responsibilities
- Review and test digital products, documents, and communications (e.g., Word, PDF, PowerPoint, and web content) to ensure they meet Section 508 standards.
- Identify accessibility issues and support remediation of materials to bring them into Section 508 conformance.
- Apply accessibility testing tools and techniques to evaluate digital products and documents for compliance.
- Document accessibility testing results and track remediation status for assigned deliverables.
- Assist with the preparation of accessibility compliance documentation to support task order deliverables.
- Maintain organized records of accessibility testing and compliance documentation.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience relevant to Section 508 compliance or digital accessibility.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and WCAG success criteria.
- Familiarity with accessibility testing tools, such as Adobe Acrobat Accessibility Checker, WAVE, axe, or screen readers (e.g., JAWS or NVDA).
- Perform other Section 508 compliance duties as required to support task order and contract objectives.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting VA or other federal government accessibility compliance programs.
- Experience preparing Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs)/VPATs.
