About the role
- As part of Aizer's Dental Department, the Dental Hygienist, under the supervision and direction of the Dental Director and Staff dentist(s), renders oral prophylaxis and fluoride treatments and instructs patients in proper brushing and flossing techniques.
- This requires a level of professionalism, courtesy and effectiveness in making the patient's experience when visiting Aizer a positive one.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year clinical experience
Nice to have
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Starting at $50 per hour, commensurate with experience
- 8 Paid Holidays.
- Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance.
Benefits
- Perform routine dental cleanings to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Carry out dental prophylaxis to maintain oral health and prevent cavities and gum disease
- Recording and updating patient's medical history
- Record all treatment rendered, patient education, and teaching in the dental record and date/sign each entry
- Keep dental operatory areas clean and orderly
- Participate in dental peer review process
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Dental Department Practice Manager
