About the role
- Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this role serves as the principal operational physician executive responsible for the day-to-day clinical leadership of a telehealth physician workforce.
Responsibilities
- own physician leadership development as an organizational capability
- Develop action plans to address areas of underperformance
- Working with the CMO, co-develop clinical strategy for new service lines
- Own the clinical operations plan: define goals, resource requirements, and success metrics
- Own the physician experience as an organizational priority; monitor engagement data and develop interventions to improve satisfaction, reduce burnout, and improve retention
- Partner with People/HR on physician workforce strategy, including retention and succession planning
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of direct patient care
- Experience working in a virtual care setting
- Familiarity with value-based care, payor contracting, and how credentialing intersects with network adequacy requirements
- Applicants must be based in the United States.
Nice to have
- Prior startup experience is a plus
- prior experience working at a tech-forward clinical startup is a massive plus
- comfort working autonomously is a necessity
