About the role

  • The Senior Technical Specialist is responsible for providing technical expertise and regulatory guidance for toys, juvenile products, and other assigned product categories intended for the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to sales and account managers during client engagements.
  • Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure consistent interpretation and application of regulations, standards, and test requirements.
  • Develop and deliver technical training for clients, retailers, suppliers, laboratories, and internal personnel.
  • Support initiatives and contribute expertise to technical service development and process improvement projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including manufacturers, importers, retailers, industry associations, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in a testing laboratory, or consumer product compliance role
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, testing, quality assurance, or technical services related to toys and juvenile products.

Compensation

  • The expected salary for this position is $64,000 to 86,000 per year.
  • This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role.
  • Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
