About the role

  • We have grown to over 350 drivers and have terminal locations throughout Arizona, New Mexico and Utah.
  • This position requires constant climbing of stairs and/or ladders, working at elevations of 14 feet above the ground, and bending over.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains complete record of all servicing and reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
  • Perform service of tires, including changing, repairing, switching & rotating
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs on a wide variety of company equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times and adhere to all OSHA/EPA requirements
  • Perform job duties of a laborer as needed

Requirements

  • Knowledge of tires and services and basic mechanic experience with the ability to troubleshoot
  • Must have your own set of entry-level tools
  • No more than 2 moving violations within the previous 3 years
  • No major violations within the previous 5 years
  • Ability to pass a controlled substance test for pre-employment purposes
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in whole numbers
  • This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands and fingers
  • This position requires the ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms and hands, grip, speak, hear, see, climb and/or balance, bend, kneel, squat or crawl, use legs, and feet.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required and must be worn as directed Other reasonable duties as assigned

Nice to have

  • One month lube and tire tech experience, strongly preferred

Skills

  • Work varying hours and schedules
  • Work overtime, as needed
  • Maintain a current driver license
  • Must be able to be insured under the company's vehicle insurance policy
  • Understand and comply with organizational policies and procedures and all applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations
  • Apply general rules to specific problems
  • Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form
  • Ability to communicate information in verbal and written form and the ability to listen to and understand information and directions.
  • Add, subtract, multiply and divide in whole numbers
  • Work well with others
