About the role

  • DUAL North America, Inc., is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our team.
  • In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting the company's accounting operations.

Responsibilities

  • You'll collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and compliance with legal and company policies, while driving efficiency and consistency across financial functions.
  • Own key accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.
  • Oversee billing, revenue, and collections processes to support accurate and timely financial results.
  • Support the accounting and reporting of insurance premiums, commissions, premium receivables and related balances
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to resolve accounting issues and support audits.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen efficiency, consistency, and overall financial integrity.
  • Collaborate across the finance teams and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently, identify discrepancies, and resolve proactively
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (experience with lookups and pivot tables a must)
  • Previous experience with insurance administration systems (particularly IMS) is desirable.

Nice to have

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with company policies.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate variances
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance operational performance.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, including exposure to insurance accounting, preferred
  • Solid working knowledge of US GAAP, accounting best practices, and internal controls

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

Compensation

  • $75,000-$85,000 annually
