About the role

  • You'll stay close to the code using a stack built on AWS, Python, Ruby, MySQL, and Snowflake, and work with the team to ensure the reliability and scale of the whole system.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional development of complex new features and capabilities, coordinating across the Data Science, Infrastructure, Front End, and Data Quality teams
  • Drive high operational and data quality standards for our pipelines
  • Someone who balances macro-level team leadership with hands-on mentorship in design and coding
  • The ability to efficiently deliver good outcomes in open-ended situations with challenging engineering and business tradeoffs

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years of backend engineering experience and at least 2 years of experience leading teams
  • Proven track record of shipping and scaling in fast-moving environments
  • Strong track record hiring and growing an engineering team
  • Strong knowledge of databases, SQL, cloud computing, and background job processing

Nice to have

  • Previous industry experience working with TV or other advertising data is a plus

Compensation

  • Mid-stage equity and competitive salary
  • In compliance with New York Pay Transparency Law, the salary range for this position is $190,000-$230,000.
