About the role

  • This role focuses on leadership during meal shifts, food safety, cleanliness, and customer service at Thousand Pines.
  • Model and uphold a strong work ethic and positive attitude for co-workers.
  • Assists in the collection, record keeping and deposit of course fees.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct the kitchen team in all phases of meal preparation and service, following
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment that meets or exceeds regulatory
  • Implement and follow opening and closing procedures for the kitchen and dining
  • Collaborate with team members to anticipate and meet guest needs effectively.
  • Ability to lead and organize group games.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children and youth.
  • Organizational strengths and the ability to work quickly
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in hot or cold weather
  • Godly Christian character, integrity and adaptability.
  • Current Food Handlers Certificate from San Bernardino County, CPR & First Aid certified
  • Agreement with Thousand Pines doctrinal statement and compliance with employee handbook
  • Physical Demands
  • Physical strength and endurance to maintain constant supervision of campers.
  • Abilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the job.

  • Thousand Pines is a 240 acre site located in the beautiful San Bernardino national Forest at an elevation of 5,000 feet. Although Thousand Pines is surrounded by a great natural beauty and great recreational opportunities, our primary goal is to see our campers come to know, in a real and personal way, the saving grace of Jesus Christ. It is our passion to see lives changed!
