Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 3 Function standards for department.
- Provide technical support thru coaching and teaching both during and after equipment breakdowns.
- Maintain 4s of area and have clear standards using systems.
- The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and supervise a group of Skilled Equipment Maintenance team members and team leaders to maintain our casting dies at the highest level.
- Reporting to the Equipment Maintenance manager the person in this role will support the plant's objective of producing engine blocks and transmission cases in a safe and efficient.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of Maximo or CMMS
- Demonstrated experience applying Toyota Production System (TPS) principles of kaizen, standardized work or similar lean methodologies
- Ability to work weekends, overtime and shutdown work (such as July and December holidays) as needed
- TL Candidates must have 1 year experience as TL and completion of TL-GL pathway (Internal candidates only)
- 2-year degree/certificate or higher in Maintenance or Engineering (or equivalent)
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI or similar
- Working knowledge of FMDS, and Prevention, Prediction, Quick Action (PDQA)
- Experience with creating and maintaining budgets including cost reduction activities
- Added bonus if you have
- PLC experience
- Robot knowledge / programming experience / integration experience
- Supervisory experience, with responsibility for direct reports
Nice to have
- 3+ years of manufacturing or relevant military experience
- aluminum casting, foundry metallurgy, or heat treat experience strongly preferred
