About the role
- The Laser Operator is responsible for operating and setting up CNC laser machinery.
- As the laser operator you are also responsible for the cutting of metal parts and ensure they are cut to the right specification.
- Also set up and adjust the machine lens to meet the correct specifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections.
- Maintain production schedule.
- Troubleshoot and maintain the machine.
- Coordinate with purchasing to manage sheet steel and consumables inventory.

Requirements
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.
- Ability to load programs, set machine parameters and proper fixtures to ensure optimal performance of equipment.
Skills
- High School Diploma/GED
- 6 Months+ CNC Laser operator experience (Fiber Laser preferred)
- Willing to train
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to understand basic fractions to decimal conversions and knowledge of numbers and dimensions.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
- Plan and prioritize tasks.
