About the role

  • The primary functions includes actively recruiting, assessing, screening, and interviewing potential and actual patients of all ages for eligibility to a government sponsored health coverage programs.
  • The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for assisting with insuring that all eligibility applications are complete, accurate, and processed in a timely manner and that pertinent coverage and other important data is entered correctly into EPIC.
  • Assist seniors and disabled patients with enrollment into prescription coverage, specifically Prescription Advantage and Medicare Part D.

Requirements

  • Bilingual fluency Spanish/English required.
  • Previous Customer Service work or volunteer experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote a team environment with proven successful outcomes

Compensation

  • Starts at $21.51 up to $32.26 based on experience

  • The scope of a Patient Services Coordinator includes support of the health center's new patient primary care provider (PCP) assignment, registration, insurance enrollment processes and acts as patient advocates.
  • Thoroughly and accurately assesses and screens patients to determine probable eligibility for a variety of health coverage programs.
  • Mass Health Experience is preferred.
