About the role
- The Engineer / Maintenance Technician is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
- This position plays a critical role in upholding Hilton brand standards and ensuring guest satisfaction through responsive and efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance workshop and related areas.
- Work closely with the General Manager and/or Chief Engineer to manage maintenance schedules and supply inventory.
- Maintain accurate logs of completed work, inspections, and inventory.
- Support energy conservation initiatives and ensure cost-effective use of hotel utilities.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in building maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as climbing ladders or working in confined spaces.
- Must be available for emergency on-call rotation.
Nice to have
- High school diploma or equivalent
- technical or trade school certification preferred.
- EPA certification and/or boiler license is a plus.
