About the role
- The Laboratory Specialist II is responsible for the processing and assisting with the management of biological samples collected during clinical trials.
- The Laboratory Specialist II will ensure tasks performed are conducted within compliance of study protocol, Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Work Schedule: 6:00am-2:30pm (Sunday - Wednesday) or 11:00am-7:30pm (Monday - Friday)
Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining equipment used in sample management (i.e. freezers, refrigerators, centrifuges) and document accordingly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and industry specific manuals.
- Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-6 years of related experience required.
- Well developed interpersonal skills are required.
- Must be self-directed, motivated, and have a willingness to take the initiative to identify and anticipate study needs and make recommendations for implementation to management.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma or GED required
- college degree and related work experience preferred.
