About the role
- The base salary for this position is dependent upon experience.
- The role will focus on identifying risks, preventing failures, and ensuring optimal asset performance through the analysis of data and trends and the development of tools and algorithms.
- All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a medical exam, background check, references, drug screen, verification of legal right to work in the U.S., and in some cases, a credit check.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Field Operations and Engineering teams to develop and implement tools that capture fleet performance and contextualize patterns in fleet behavior.
- Support predictive and preventive maintenance through the analysis and application of vibration condition monitoring, grease samples and maintenance data.
- Forecast major and minor component failures to support maintenance budgets and new product design decisions.
- Evaluate equipment design, materials, and system performance for improvement opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency
- Maintain documentation, reports, and reliability databases
- Participate in and support investigations into anomalies and failures of electrical equipment, including major and minor components.
- Coordinate with external professional and consultants as necessary to support technical investigations.
- Create and maintain technical comprehensive summaries to document progress and experience.
- Organize and lead meetings with original equipment manufacturers and service providers to ensure quality and compliance with contractual obligations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Renewables highly desired.
- Working knowledge of office and engineering analysis programs.
- Familiarity with FEA, aeroelastic and CAD modeling programs such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Ansys, Flex, Bladed, etc.
- Familiarity with testing and measurement equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to take actions beyond the explicit job responsibilities to assist in large, complex projects.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to climb 100 meter tall steel towers and lift up 50 lbs on occasion.
Compensation
- $98,500 to $110,000 DOE
