About the role
- STR is seeking a highly motivated candidate with federal procurement experience to join our growing Contracts & Supply Chain team as a Senior Procurement Administrator.
- Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $93,000.00 - $117,000.00 The salary range listed is based on external market data.
- Offers are based on factors, such as but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, key skills/critical skills, security clearances, and prevailing market and business conditions.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and develop team members
- Drive process excellence and continuous improvement in procurement practices
- Help shape STR's procurement strategy and deliver measurable results in cost, schedule, and performance
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle from planning through closeout in accordance with company policies, FAR, and DFARS.
- Work closely with business, technical, and functional stakeholders to support business growth objectives and strong program performance.
- Develop and maintain effective external relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to support program objectives and strengthen STR's business partnerships.
- Utilize purchasing and ERP systems to create and manage purchase orders and ensure compliance.
- Experience using AI‑enabled tools and a strong willingness to learn and apply AI to drive efficiency and improve quality and effectiveness in Contracts and Supply Chain processes.
- Recommend and help implement process improvements to scale and optimize procurement activities and practices.
- Maintain accurate and complete procurement files and documentation in compliance with FAR, DFARS, and company requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree + 5 years of Federal procurement, purchasing, or contracting experience (or Master's degree + 3 years)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (for which US Citizenship is required)
- Demonstrated experience in negotiations and supplier management.
- Experience with FAR, DFARS, and agency‑specific regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply federal acquisition policies in context.
- Knowledge of ITAR/EAR export controls and counterfeit parts prevention practices.
- Willingness to expand expertise across other areas of Supply Chain as well as Contracts.
