Responsibilities

  • Apply technical understanding to evaluate architectural trade-offs, drive design discussions, and manage complex cross-group dependencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 7 years of experience in leadership roles with/without direct reports.

Nice to have

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
  • Proven experience managing highly complex, high-stakes, and cross-functional technical programs in the AI/ML space.
  • Demonstrate technical judgment and architectural understanding.
  • Google's projects, like our users, span the globe and require managers to keep the big picture in focus while being able to dive into the unique engineering challenges we face daily.
  • This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders.
  • You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
  • Accelerate Google's delivery of the world's most advanced AI products and compute by providing services, infrastructure, and frameworks that are efficient and reliable at scale.
  • The Core ML PMO is responsible for driving standard, repeatable software stacks, reducing technical fragmentation, and accelerating the transition from research to production.

Compensation

  • US: $240000 - $333000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
