About the role
- The Steward is responsible for cleaning and storing all flatware, silver, glass, kitchen trays, pots, pans according to the direction of the restaurant management team.
- The Steward also assists in food preparation as requested.
- This position reports to the Executive Steward.
Responsibilities
- ⦁ Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, participate in pre and post shift cleaning and organization to include but not limited to: kitchen equipment, walk in fridge/freezer storage, dry storage, trash, recycle, mopping, sweeping
- ⦁ Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean orderly condition

Requirements
- ⦁ Great Knowledge of company policies and procedures
- ⦁ Ability to do basic problem-solving
- ⦁ Ability to identify straightforward issues and propose simple solutions

Nice to have
- ⦁ High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- ⦁ Prior work experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred
- ⦁ ServSafe or similar food safety course certification is preferred
