About the role

  • Provide direct supervision, leadership, coaching, and performance management for Enterprise Applications team.
  • Establish clear expectations, priorities, and performance goals aligned with IIT and College objectives.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing coverage for application operations, projects, and institutional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and oversee enterprise application projects, including system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Ensure Workday is configured, maintained, and optimized to support NWTC business processes, data integrity, and institutional priorities.
  • Establish standards and best practices for application support, troubleshooting, documentation, and lifecycle management.
  • This position ensures enterprise systems effectively support NWTC's mission, strategic priorities, and operational needs through strong people leadership, disciplined project management, and effective application lifecycle management.
  • Partner with functional stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize work, and deliver solutions that meet College needs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise application vendors, including coordination of support, issue resolution, and contract oversight.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and leadership to identify application needs and improvement opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative, service‑oriented team culture that supports professional growth, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Experience with Workday HR, Finance, and Student.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical audiences.
  • Proficiency overseeing and administering the Workday platform, including configuration oversight, security governance, reporting, integrations, and vendor coordination.
  • Experience managing integrations between Workday and other enterprise systems, ensuring secure, reliable data exchange across platforms.
  • Typical hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am -5:00 pm; Flexibility required to include other hours, as necessary.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft.NET, and GitHub is a plus.

Skills

  • Evaluate new technologies and solutions; provide recommendations aligned with College strategy and resources.

Compensation

  • 117,540 - 126,685 per year
  • Salaries/Wages for all finalists (internal and external) will be placed within the range based upon education, experiences, current wages, and internal equity.
