  • Job Description BD Canada is looking to welcome a new member to their Finance department as a Financial Analyst.
  • The successful candidate will be adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, evolving environment, with a strong desire for continuous learning and growth.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and/or balance sheet reconciliations to maintain complete and accurate accounting records.
  • Support investigation of significant variance on balance sheet, P&L and costing budgets.
  • Support in cost accounting responsibilities including: new product activations, maintenance of cost status within local ERP, ad hock re-costing during the year, standard cost roll, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ex: shared services, AR, AP, Intercompany, Fixed Assets
  • corporate functions, etc.) to support various areas of financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ex: shared services, AR, AP, Intercompany, Fixed Assets; supply chain; customer service; corporate functions, etc.) to support various areas of financial reporting.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in a comparable role, including GL reconciliations, journal entries, month‑end close activities, and variance analysis, with proven ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills that can partner well with cross-functional peers.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for adhering to accounting policies in accordance with US GAAP, support financial reporting deliverables at month-end and year-end, as well as analysis of results across the Balance Sheet and Income Statement.

Requirements

  • CPA Designation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business, or Economics

Nice to have

  • Experience using BPC (SAP Financial Business Planning & Consolidation tool) an asset.

Skills

  • Working experience with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work, Outlook), advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, complex formulas, etc.)
  • Demonstrates keen attention to detail with the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong time management and ability to juggle competing priorities while effectively meeting deadlines.

Compensation

  • Information: $69000 - $119000 Annual
