About the role
- They ensure a safe, healthy living, and learning environment by enforcing institutional policies.
- This is a full-time 12-month position, live in position.
- Staff are provided with a furnished apartment.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operation of a residential community ranging between 280 and 475 residential students.
- Provide individualized support to residential students.
- Participate in a collateral assignment that supports the department's initiatives (such as Housing Operations, Student Conduct & Restorative Practices, CA Selection & Training, Community Development).
- Support the Division of Student Affairs, in ensuring ongoing recognition of student rights, responsibilities, and expectations by implementing campus policies and coordinating related procedures.
- Provide support to residential students through outreach, intentional programs and events with a strong emphasis on diversity and social justice components promoting inclusive communities.
- Fulfill responsibilities relating to operations and building management of residential community.
- Student Conduct Administration and Student Support - 15%
- Collaborate with campus partners to ensure ongoing recognition of student rights, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Conduct meetings with students to provide support for both academic and personal needs.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support for job related responsibilities including resident interaction, roommate mediation, programming, etc.
Requirements
- Experience in supervising, student paraprofessionals, and/or student leaders
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Experience Required:
- A master's degree may be substituted for professional experience.
