Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing R&D engineering team, with a strong focus on software and electrical product development.
- Provide technical leadership and direction while empowering engineers to solve complex design and development challenges.
- Lead engineering activities across the product development lifecycle, helping teams translate product needs into robust technical solutions and successfully deliver products to market.
- Drive execution across complex development programs, including resource planning, staffing, schedules, budgets, technical priorities, and delivery commitments.
- Partner closely with Systems, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Program Management, and other cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and maintain program momentum.
- Guide teams through technical tradeoffs, design decisions, risk management, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
- Build an environment of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong engineering practices.
- Recruit, retain, coach, and develop engineering talent while creating meaningful growth and development opportunities for team members.
- Communicate technical strategies, program risks, resource needs, and recommendations effectively to cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum 8 years experience in engineering or product development
- Minimum 2 years direct people management experience
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering projects
Nice to have
- Strong software or electrical engineering background and experience leading SWEE-based development teams.
- Experience leading complex engineering or product-development programs and working across multiple technical and business functions.
- Experience leading development of complex products incorporating software, electronics, and other multidisciplinary technologies.
- Experience with engineering resource planning, project budgeting, and prioritization across multiple programs.
- Experience working in fast-paced product-development environments where teams must balance schedule, cost, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Travel Percentage: 20%

Compensation
- $118,000 - $196,700 USD Annual
