About the role

As a Process Technician at Rocket EMS, you will be responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality, efficient, and repeatable PCB assembly production.

Perform first article verification and validate new builds before releasing to production.
Support engineers in process development, validation, and NPI activities.
Document process changes, generate pass-downs, and escalate unresolved issues to engineering or quality management.

High school diploma or equivalent (required).
2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or process support within a contract manufacturing environment.
This role requires strong technical knowledge of electronics manufacturing, problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience with SMT and through-hole processes.
Familiarity with SMT, through-hole, reflow, and soldering processes.
Candidates are not required to disclose criminal history or participate in a background check unless and until a conditional offer of employment has been made.
Education
Experience

Associate's degree or technical certification in electronics/manufacturing preferred.
IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification preferred.

Strong understanding of PCB assembly processes and IPC workmanship standards (Class 2 and 3).
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and technical instructions.
Proficient in data collection and basic statistical analysis.
Hands-on troubleshooting skills with soldering, inspection, and assembly equipment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills
