About the role
- This position is the subject matter expert for all areas of the facility.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of hourly skilled electrical technicians and salaried automation and controls engineers.
- Organize and coordinate the maintenance breakdowns of all equipment within assigned responsibility including maintaining a necessary inventory of spare parts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a constant safety environment and provide necessary training updates while striving for zero incidents and full compliance with OSHA and Plant standards.
- Execute all electrical preventative maintenance, implement process controls, and define projects to drive plant KPIs and continuous improvement.
- Provide regular training of personnel as needed to maintain new and existing equipment and ensure good GMP Principles are followed.
Requirements
- Ability to understand conversational speaking
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - per safety guidelines
Skills
- Associate degree, trade school or significant experience in a related/similar field
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills and ability to work through complex problems
- Strong communication and leadership skills - successful supervision in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with Allen Bradley Programming, Robotics, and advanced automation
- Experience with plant network and communication systems.
- Experience managing high voltage and low voltage electrical distribution systems
- Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Compensation
- Develop and manage annual operating plans/budgets for the electrical maintenance and automation department.
