About the role

  • The Enterprise Data Platform team enables data-driven decision-making across PitchBook by delivering scalable, trusted, and accessible data products and services.
  • As PitchBook continues to grow, the Enterprise Data Platform plays a critical role in advancing our data strategy through modern data capabilities, strong governance practices, and scalable platform solutions.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a growth-oriented product manager to expand their expertise in data, analytics, and platform product management within a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the data product roadmap, aligning priorities with business goals, enterprise data strategy, and measurable outcomes
  • Lead prioritization across initiatives using value, impact, effort, risk, and dependency frameworks
  • Partner with PMO and cross-functional teams to align data products with enterprise initiatives and platform priorities
  • Partner closely with data engineering on data modeling, pipeline design, and scalable architecture decisions
  • Maintain a prioritized product backlog with clearly defined epics, stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Use retrospectives and delivery metrics to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Lead discovery efforts through stakeholder engagement, usage analysis, and data assessments to identify high-value opportunities
  • Facilitate alignment across teams and manage competing priorities, scope, and delivery timelines
  • Support agile delivery by clarifying requirements, removing blockers, and driving consistent sprint outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • 2+ years of experience in data product management, analytics, data engineering, or related data-focused roles
  • Must have data literacy, including working knowledge of SQL, data modeling, data pipelines, BI/reporting tools, and modern data platforms
