Responsibilities
- Class Teachers plan and deliver engaging main lessons and skills classes, foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, and collaborate closely with colleagues to support the life of the school community.
- Collaboration and Community Engagement Collaborate with class and specialty teachers to support curriculum integration and school community life, including festivals and seasonal celebrations.
- Build strong, professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Waldorf teacher training preferred, or willingness to complete Waldorf training within the first few years of employment (professional development support available).
Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, and use stairs regularly.
- Bachelor's degree and prior teaching experience required.
- Musical and artistic abilities preferred but not required.

- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Compensation
- $65,559-$113,636 Annually; depending upon experience The Grades Class Teacher (1-8) at Brooklyn Waldorf School is a vital member of our educational team, responsible for guiding students through their academic, social, and emotional development in alignment with Waldorf pedagogy.
