About the role
- Educates patients and healthcare workers relative to drugs and medications usage, adverse drug reactions, side effects, contraindications, etc. according to professional standards.
- Interprets and clarifies orders for all types of medications.
- Researches and responds promptly to drug information requests.
Responsibilities
- Manages the day-to-day activities of the pharmacy support staff.
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association
- BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association
- PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association
- Community resource navigation support
Requirements
- Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
- Directly supervises the work of pharmacy technicians and support staff as required by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy.
- PHA-Licensed Pharmacist - DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies Required
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of pharmacy.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmacy related state and federal laws.
Nice to have
- Doctorate Degree PharmD (preferred) or BPharm Required
- 1-3 years PGY1 residency completion preferred
Skills
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
