About the role
- We are the FIS iSeries team, responsible for managing Capital Markets and Banking Solutions Infrastructure.
- We also cover systems in the US, Europe, and Guam.
- As an experienced iSeries technician, you will help grow and enhance our core iSeries platform.
Responsibilities
- We provide hardware as well as core IBM I operating system support.
- Our team provides 24x7 support for the entire iSeries environment including HMCs, VIOS, SANs, fiber switches, and backup environments.
- IBM HMC and SAN storage support.
- VIOS support and upgrades.
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience maintaining IBM OS400 versions 7.3, 7.4, 7.5, and 7.6
- 5+ years working with IBM Power servers, HMCs, Backup devices, SANs
- Ability to work semi-independent on assigned tasks.
- If you are made a conditional offer of employment, you will be required to undergo a drug test.
- Strong troubleshooting background solving iSeries related issues.
- Bonus if you have
- IBM VIOS support knowledge.
- IBM/Brocade switch experience.
- Automation experience using Ansible or native iSeries tools.
