About the role

  • The Pharmacy Technician, Dispensing plays a critical role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant medications that improve lives at scale across Empower's 503A and 503B compounding pharmacy operations.
  • This role operates in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment where quality, throughput, and documentation accuracy directly impact patient safety and business performance.
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates strong judgment, attention to detail, and ownership, while leveraging technology to improve accuracy and workflow execution.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear.
  • Employees are regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus.
  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Active Pharmacy Technician registration, licensure, or certification as required by applicable state regulations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or healthcare-related training preferred.
  • Proven ability to follow standardized processes, maintain documentation accuracy, and meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and strong performance in fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in pharmacy operations, dispensing, production, fulfillment, or other regulated environments preferred.
  • Experience using technology and digital tools to improve work quality and efficiency preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of dispensing workflows, prescription accuracy standards, labeling requirements, and SOP adherence.
  • Experience using pharmacy systems, barcode verification tools, and digital platforms to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail, sound judgment, and effective communication skills.
