About the role

  • The Production Technician position requires communication with all levels of people.
  • They will learn and then apply the tools of Lean, Shop Floor Management, Masco Operating System, and core values of People, Credibility, High Performance Teams, Customer Service and Continuous Improvement - Innovation.
  • The technician should have a desire for continual improvement in the business processes they work in.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain machines, trouble shoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Perform mechanical and vacuum pump repairs
  • Perform parts inspection and make quality decisions.
  • Perform housekeeping duties consistent with 5S and visual workplace standards.
  • Perform ERGO stretches.

Requirements

  • The individual must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
  • The individual must have the ability to apply reason and understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • The person must be able to understand basic reports and daily business requirements.
  • A person must be able to perform each essential duty well (accurately, organized, and timely), be customer focused, have a positive attitude, and willing to work overtime.

  • Language Skills:
  • The individual should have the ability to read and interpret documents like safety rules, Delta specifications, Standard Work Instructions, job instruction documents, and aspects of Delta's MOS (Masco Operating System), SFM (Shop Floor Management) system, QMS (Quality Management System) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.

Skills

  • Prior experience as a PVD Chamber Operator is required.
  • HS degree or HS equivalency diploma is recommended.
  • Achieve a Color Acuity score of 40 or better.
  • Prior maintenance and technical experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Analyze machine data and interpret reports.
  • Perform math calculations.
  • Adjust work hours to meet the daily production schedule.
  • Certified in confined spaces, fall protection and other required safety training or willing to achieve certification in all training.
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Acceptable attendance performance
  • Employees who have six or more points are not eligible for promotions or transfers.
