About the role
- Private Markets is a rapidly growing group within Neuberger with over $100 billion of investor commitments across our private markets fund of funds, secondary investments, co-investment and direct investment areas.
- The Private Markets Finance Group is looking to hire a Performance Specialist who will be responsible for performance calculation, tracking and monitoring as it relates to the private markets business funds, mandates and separate accounts.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with accounting/finance teams to validate cash flow inputs to performance models, review calculation methodologies, and ensure alignment with industry standards and internal performance reporting practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- Familiarity with multiple fund structures and calculations, including closed-end drawdown funds and evergreen structures
- Strong understanding of accounting theory and fund accounting and financial reporting
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
- Ability to act and operate independently, entrepreneurial mindset
- High degree of proficiency in Excel

- 3+ years accounting/finance/valuation experience; CIPM, CPA and/or CFA a plus, but not required
- Technical understanding of aforementioned metrics
- Practical understanding of asset class and markets including private equity, private credit and other bespoke transactions
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus

Compensation
- The salary range for this role is $100,000-$130,000.
- This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.
- We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future.
- This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package.
